Took a while to get a ride. Eventually got picked up by some Germans. Another guy also tried from here.

Not the best spot to hitchhike but haven’t seen a better one. A student lived directly at the round about and saw me standing with a sign. Luckily he had to go to Mostar.

Outside a gas station and shaded mid-morning. Signed and thumbed before approaching a couple parked at the gas station for coffee asking if they were going to Mostar. They were tourists who had just come in from Montenegro that morning and were going straight to Mostar

I'm not sure how common it is for people to go to Mostar on this road (I feel like through Ljubinje is faster). Maybe I got lucky

Turns out we live in the same city, same district

We got a ride with a sign Mostar pretty quickly but the spot is mid - cars going fast, lots of cars going just locally.

good spot, gas station with a lot of traffic going north. was way too hot for us to properly try to get a hitch but once we did, the car pulled over within 2 minutes

Very good spot to go to mostar. Slow cars and a lot of space. No shade tho. But it was evening for me so all fine. You can try to catch earlier but there no space to stop. But if you dont wanna walk you can do that.

Very good spot. Drivers going slow because of a roundabout and you have a lot of space to stop because you are standing in a bus stop. Got a ride to Mostar in 15 minutes. Came right after church so cars just cleared up in the stop becaue for some reason they dont cre about busses being able to stop

Pretty nice spot with shade. This road is the best to get all the traffic going into Mostar. A bit of the hike up but its fine. Can be a better spot but shoudl do the job.

Lot's of people stopped at the gas station so we just asked around. Quite some tourists that were going for longer distances

I thought this spot would be terrible to find a hitchhike; when I was hiking towards the car road I saw only one car per 5 to 10 minutes, but when I arrived at the road I got a ride from the second car that drove past! I might have been lucky, and would not recommended this spot in terms of weather; there is no shadow or shelter. However, sometimes on smaller roads cars are more willing to take you.

I waited right behind the bridge and quickly got a free ride in a taxi to Mostar.

Very easy to get a ride at the red light. I just wanted to go to Široki, no backpack or sign.

I was near a busstop, so cars could stop easily. Was not so hard to take one to Sarajevo. 45mins.

from main bus/train station walk few hundred meters north, than when you see ruined building on the left, try across the street, on bus stop.

Mostar-Jablanica: Open area right after streetlight. I was trying to walk a bit more north to the gas stating waiting to cross the street. Not even 5 seconds of waiting to cross, a older Bosnian driving from Split offered to drive me. Stopped for coffee along the way with beautiful views of the the river and mountains. This country is awesome! :)
